Eat & Drink - Three Seven Two

A short walk from where we were staying so ultra-convenient and surprisingly delicious. For a beachfront/resort restaurant. We shared some starters which included octopus salad, some hummus and zhoug, and a beetroot salad. Two of us had the fish of the day, snapper, and our son had the flounder with a spicy sauce. For sides, we had the crispy cabbage with lime leaves and a big salad. It was all scrumptious. Great wine from local Vineyards and great arrive. So far New Zealand dining has been outstanding.

Waterfront Onetangi beach cafe/ restaurant. Great for families or groups. Sit outside for a more causal beach feel or sit inside for a more modern bistro feel. Good menu and nice food. Opens late am for brunch/ lunch and straight through until dinner.

I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary when our wine tour of Waiheke Island vineyards stopped here for lunch. What a treat to enjoy a first rate meal that we could choose off the regular lunch menu. I chose the fish of the day, which was outstanding. The serving was a dinner portion, and I enjoyed every bite. The restaurant is right across the road from Onetangi Beach, although the view is limited from the dining room. The staff provided excellent service, and if I ever return to Waiheke, I will definitely try Three Seven Two for dinner. It's no surprise that the restaurant and Chef Bronwen Laight are award winners.
