The first plantings at Mudbrick were in 1992 by Nick and Robyn Jones, who still own and operate the property today.
Planted area is now on two distinctively different sites: the Mudbrick Vineyard at Church Bay and Shepherds Point Vineyard at Onetangi.
Plantings currently include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Syrah Chardonnay and Viognier. Handpicking, hand plunging and gentle basket pressing reflect in the character of our wines. Our Chardonnay exhibits the vibrancy of dry hot Waiheke summers.
The beautiful Mudbrick restaurant has a wonderful ambience, and a spectacular menu to match, with chefs who have won international acclaim showcasing the best NZ ingredients.
Tastings are available seven days, all year, no appointment necessary. The Cellar Door menu provides a selection of lighter lunch options should you wish to linger longer and enjoy the view in a casual setting amongst the potager gardens.
A collection of locally produced products and gifts are available for purchase from the cellar shop as well as retail wine and gift packs.
