Walking on Waiheke Island provides the perfect way to get close to nature and discover the beauty of the island. While some of the walks on Waiheke are easy strolls, most walking experiences on the island are of tramping track standard and require a reasonable level of fitness. View some of  Waiheke’s most popular walks.

The Waiheke Walking Festival

The third Waiheke Walking Festival offers 40 free guided walks over nine days. Walking is the best way to see all that Waiheke has to offer, so escape the rat race and take some time to experience the island’s many picturesque walkways with the Waiheke Walking Festival. The festival offers something for everyone – all ages and abilities.

The festival runs from October 27th to November 4th. Registration is definitely recommended as numbers are limited on each walk. For more information about the festival and details on each walk go online and visit their website.
